READY TO ADOPT?

Like most rescues Wags & Wishes does their absolute best to find each family the perfect dog adn each dog the perfect family. We work on a first come, first serve basis but you must pass our adoption application. Our adoption fee is $150.00 for adult dogs, $175 for puppies. The difference in fees accounts for the heightened cost of veterinary care for our younger puppies. We also require anyone adopting an animal not immediately available to place a non-refundable deposit of $50.00 to hold the animal. Should you decide not to go through with your adoption, this money will be considered a donation to Wags & Wishes.The remaining $75.00 of the adoption fee will be due at the time of adoption. When reviewing your application we are looking for the following:

For people who currently own, or have previously owned pets:

your animals should be spayed/neutered and receive regular veterinary care. We will contact your current veterinarian to confirm this.

For those who do not own, and have not previously owned a pet:

We will request personal references in order to determine your suitability as a pet owner.

For all:

if you rent you must have permission from your landlord to have a pet on the premises. We will contact your landlord to confirm this. These measures are taken to ensure our animals are going to a home where they will be well cared for. Although our animals are already spayed or neutered we require that all animal members of your household are as well. This is because we have seen firsthand the results of animal overpopulation and must do our best to stop it. Again, here is our ADOPTION APPLICATION!
